"Garden of India". Mural painting, produced on canvas in my Milwaukee studio.
This mural I created for a husband/wife who were both surgeons living in the suburbs of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. They were originally from India and relocated in the USA to establish their professions elsewhere. But living away from their homeland triggered many recollections and pleasant memories of their native country. So one way to additionally bring some India atmosphere into their home, in a unique way, was to have a mural created for one area of their beautiful home.
After giving this idea some thought they decided to find a muralist in the metropolitan Milwaukee area to accomplish this work. I was blessed to have them find me. We soon after met, discussed the assignment regarding the theme, subject matter, content of the mural. I returned home and began working in earnest to create a presentation of the proposed mural. Next meeting they viewed my presentation, approved it (yeah!!) and I got the assignment.
They were wonderful to work with and periodically would visit my studio to consult on the mural process, make suggestions, some additions etc. It was finalized a couple weeks later and I removed the mural, that was mounted on the studio wall, then transported it to their home and installed it on site. Happy clients were they and so was I, happy and delighted.
